In the Mom Lane: At the End of an Era

The end of an era is a phrase often used. Tonight (May 2, 2020) marks the end of an era that spanned almost 101 years.
GG and her men

GG at her finest, turns 100!

She was the embodiment and feisty and spunk, of creativity and humor, of kindness and generosity. She was opinionated, and had no reservations in sharing them. She was a story teller, with words and art.

Oh, and the art. It spanned the emotions, whimsical to dark, most of it vibrant and entrancing. She painted. She sculpted. She used odds and ends and wove them in. Every piece has a story.
Today, the stories from her lips fell silent. The brushes stilled. Today, is the end of an era.

Exalted and hallowed be God’s great name
in the world which God created, according to plan.
May God’s majesty be revealed in the days of our lifetime
and the life of all Israel — speedily, imminently,
To which we say: Amen.
Blessed be God’s great name to all eternity.
Blessed, praised, honored, exalted,
extolled, glorified, adored, and lauded
be the name of the Holy Blessed One,
beyond all earthly words and songs of blessing, praise, and comfort.
To which we say: Amen.
May there be abundant peace from heaven, and life, for us and all Israel.
To which we say: Amen.
May the One who creates harmony on high, bring peace to us and to all Israel.
To which we say: Amen.
