We’re in deep. Too deep.
All was calm. All was bright…as it could be. Considering the circumstances.
We took it hour by hour. Then day by day.
We shoulda known the calm would only last so long.
High tide, low tide. The winds of change.
Then storm clouds formed on the horizon.
There’s no good outcome. We’ll tread water until it levels off.
How did you keep afloat?
We’ll do what we can. And hopefully walk away, without any more wounds.
We’re already scarred forever.
No one wins after something like this. Except maybe the vultures.
