The Writing Space & NaNo Shape

While immersed in 15-Day NaNo Challenge (but not posting…it will all come at once, more on that later), I decided enough was enough.

There was no way I could start a successful NaNoWriMo that way. It was a recipe for failure. And frustration. The giant mess of boxes, piles of papers on the floor and general disarray of the office had to go.

So, too went much of my writing time for the week. Time well spent, I’d say. My desk is now clean and organized. Say it with me: AHHH. The floor is visible everywhere but for the carpet remnants (temporary until hubby’s desk arrives sometime around the New Year) and furniture. And the furniture. Oh, the furniture. My beloved roll-top, two sets of bookshelves and one giant chair with ottoman, which presently allows a view of the brilliantly colored maple tree in the front yard.

The office (my writing and reading space) is finally unpacked, organized and generally, a welcome place for me to work.

Mornings are best spent right here with strong coffee and a good book.

Yes, I have Star Wars Legos on my desk. You should see the rest of the collection.

Happy Friday, everyone. Have a great Halloween, enjoy the extra hour of sleep everyone (except Arizona)…or writing time…and Happy NaNoWriMo!

And, of course, happy trails!
