Writer Meme Monday: There’s No Motivation Like Post-Conference Motivation!

days-after-a-writers-conference

This weekend was the 14th annual James River Writers Conference in Richmond, VA.

It starts with on Friday with “Master” classes, small seminar-like sessions on a variety of subjects pertaining to the craft and the business of writing.

The rest of the weekend is two full days of panels with authors from the traditional and independent publishing worlds, agents and editors.

There’s a strong social component to the conference. I first attended two years ago, and I go back as much for the classes as for the networking.

Basically, it’s a weekend of awesome!

It’s perfect timing to get me SUPER motivated to write, edit and write so more!

    • LOL! A good conference can be wonderful for insight and networking. Going for the first time two years ago opened my eyes to the wide world of book writing and publishing. It helped direct me to learning the business side so I can make informed decisions with my works. Take your time and find a good one! When looking, know that a higher fee or bigger name doesn’t equal better conference. Beyond that, let me know where you end up going and how you liked it! I’ll be posting more from the conference over the next few weeks. I hope it’s helpful! 🙂
