Well, I don’t actually know my final word count, but I passed my goal (15k) last week on Monday. Yay!
AND I did it without becoming a crazed, word-anti-smithing fool, hauled off by the NaNo Emergency Squad (or shipped off by hubby)!
My bigger goal, establishing a daily habit of at least 500 words, is well underway!
And then there’s the editing of my last book that is hanging overhead…and have pitched! The book came back from my editor right before I met with an agent at a conference, who asked for chapters! I made the agent aware it had come back from my editor and I had some work to put into it before it would be ready to send out.
And so I shall continue that work.
What I can’t decide is: Do I send it to the agent pronto, knowing they are getting buried in post-NaNo queries?
Or wait until the New Year?
I’m leaning towards the former. After all, this is a query with chapters that were requested…
Thoughts, my writer friends? Or any editor / agent types who stop by?

Happy #WriterMemeMonday and have a great week!
I’d send it ASAP while they remember you. Any NaNo stuff is going to be unedited so give him/her something polished to sink his/her teeth into! Congrats!

Gosh, I think I missed replying to this! My apologies!!
An excellent point. I have the first third of what I need to send whipped into shape. I’m giving myself Monday & Tuesday to get the rest in better shape + a drafted query letter. Wish me luck!!
