“There!” Jay pointed.
“I didn’t see. What color?” Evan scanned the sky.
“White. We gotta go!”
“Wait, two white means all clear. One means we’re surrounded. Stay down.”
“You weren’t even paying attention. You were staring at Kathy. Again.”
“I can’t help it. She has beautiful teeth. But I’m sure about what I heard.”
“She’s got something great that starts with a “t,” but teeth ain’t it.”
“Jackass! She does have great teeth.”
Splat.
Splat, splat.
Green paint sprayed across their chests.
“Damn.” Jay flopped on his back.
“I told you one meant stay down.”
“Yeah. That, and shut up.”

I am so glad it was only paintball – I feared something much worse.

Dear Sara,
Someone got distracted I’d say. Not a good idea in paintball. Good one.
