The latest Literary Lion flash fiction prompt was the word “limerick.” The challenge: Create a story in 400 words (or less) based on the the prompt. I followed the inspiration of the Literary Lion Tamer, Laura Gabrielle Feasey, with my own limerick. Enjoy!
You stare up at me, wide sea-blue eyes.
Now your sounds are sweet coos, sometimes soft cries.
Tiny fingers grip mine.
Need more snuggles? That’s fine.
Six weeks gone already. My, how time flies.
Want to join the Literary Lion fun? Feet first, jump into the ring! No biting (remarks), please. 🙂
So beautiful. Makes me want to snuggle mine, too.

Very much, thanks! It makes me marvel a little more at my older son, too. Crazy how fast they become this irreplaceable part of your life and heart. And how fast they grow!

Thanks! They do grow so fast. My oldest is 4 1/2 now. It amazes me every day how much he has grown.
